I came across this quotation yesterday while waiting at a doctor’s clinic:
Be thankful for all the small successes in your home, your family relationships, your education and livelihood, your Church participation and personal improvement. Like the forget-me-nots, these successes may seem tiny to you and they may go unnoticed by others, but God notices them and they are not small to Him. If you consider success to be only the most perfect rose or dazzling orchid, you may miss some of life’s sweetest experiences.
Levi and I were witnesses to a small success that Poleev experienced yesterday. He once again rode a bike after many years of not wanting to do it. He used to enjoy riding his bike a few years ago, but as he became a teenager he lost interest. Yesterday, we drove him to our church parking lot. At first, he resisted but Levi kept encouraging him. He showed him how to use the new bike and guided his way. He was nervous at first but after a few rounds, he gained confidence. Soon, he rode on his own with this HUGE smile on his face. That was a sight that I hope to see not just once in my life.
