End of the Journey

The 5K journey ended at the Reliant last March 30th.  I thought I wouldn’t be able to run because I felt kind of dizzy. My friend, Aitran, encouraged me  and suggested that we ate some energy food they were handing out for free at the park. She was right. Those fruit jellies really tasted good and energized us completely. So at the sound of the starting gun,  we were ready to go. Our strategy was slow and steady like the tortoise. I was very amused with the outfits of the teams that joined the race. This huge guy who was wearing a tutu together with the ladies on his team was unforgettable. The color bombs were hurled at us at different points of the track. Then, we were virtually showered with the colors of the rainbow at the finish line. Aitran and I were so excited to finally finish our first 5K.  Next?  10K!!!!!

Fun, creative, and humorous are words that describe me. I spend a lot of time with my family which consists of my husband, 4 children and extended relatives. I enjoy making and maintaining true and lasting friendships. Photography, writing, and music help express myself in artistic ways. I love all kinds of sports like basketball, volleyball, and tennis. I am a special education teacher in an urban school district. I feel it's my mission to teach children with disabilities and to be their advocate.
